Waiting Still

Family and Friends,

Thank you for your concern and prayers for Eli, Lys, and Ted.  We ask for your continued prayers for Baby Eli, Lys & Ted, and also the medical staff caring for Eli.  Last night the doctors started the process of warming Eli's body temperature back to normal and as they were doing so he started having seizure activity.  The doctors decided to cool his body back down and said that they need to re-evaluate and revise their medical plan for Eli because of the seizures.  We are not sure how long he is going to be kept cool nor when they will warm him back up.  The doctor did say that the issue with the blood pressure in his lungs is stable at this time and he is continuing to receiving normal oxygen levels while intubated.  Yay! 

Tests, scans, ultrasounds are all being run to obtain a better understanding of how to accurately treat Eli.  Once the doctors have devised a new plan to warm him back up, we hope for more answers. 

Lys is having a hard time wanting to rest like she needs to in order to recover from her c-section.  We pray for strength for her to be able to rest (although we know all she wants to do is be with Eli), wisdom for the medical staff, and patience as Lys & Ted wait for answers.

Tiffany has set up a PayPal option for those who wish to help Lys and Ted financially. All you have to do is follow the link (it’s called ‘Send Money Now’) and enter in Lys’ email address. Then you can follow the simple directions on how you wish to give. Once you have completed this, Lys will receive an email telling her how much has been deposited in her PayPal account. She can then access it and use it for whatever needs they have (primarily food and housing). This seems to be the simplest option for all of us to get them the help they need. For those of you who do not wish to give over the Internet, Tiffany is willing to accept checks or cash and can then send the amount to them through my own PayPal account so they can get the money immediately.
