It is with a sigh of relief that we want to tell you all, Lys and Ted have been able to find accommodations in a Ronald Mcdonald house. The facility is a block away from the hospital, and will provide much needed quiet and rest for Lys as she recovers and spends time with Eli. The cost is $15 per night, and we are still waiting to hear what kind of kitchen they will have access to, so we can possibly arrange freezer friendly meals to deliver to them.
Also, Doctors have consulted, and now are saying that Eli was not seizing during the warming process last night. The anti-seizure medications they gave him did however help his stats, and they will continue administering that for a bit longer. The plan is to attempt to re-warm him sometime tomorrow or tomorrow night, and do it at a much slower rate, to see if his body will tolerate it. Baby Eli is doing so well on the specialized ventilator they have him on that they are also talking about attempting to switch him to a more standard one. We are ecstatic about these glimmers of improvement!!
